Dinner and dancing in NJ is definitely the place to be. I know there are many who have a strong opinion of New Jersey, especially if they never lived here. You must have lived here and be a native to really understand and love this place.
Where does one start. There are countless of places one can go for a night on the town. It depends on what part of New Jersey you reside. South and central jersey have their own special places people go to enjoy their time.
I’m more of a North jersey guy and most of my experiences are from this are. Although, I do hit south and central at times, it’s not as often unless I’m given a special or personal invitation. The times I went down there, it was a good time.
At the moment we don’t have a great resource for dinner and dancing in south jersey but we will put the information in the near future.
Let’s see, let’s see, where are some good places for a fun or romantic place.
You can’t go wrong with Sabor in North Bergen, its right along River Rd. It’s usually a good night with a date, who will be impressed with décor. It has a first and second floor for dining and dancing. They play all forms of Latin music and club.
It’s definitely a romantic place if you want to take a special someone. The dancing starts around 11, so dress sharp and be prepared to have a blast.
Another place is Euro Lounge in North Arlington. It’s a lively place small place but the food is good and they have dancing throughout the weekend. Saturday nights is club night and it’s usually very packed.
The last time I went on a Saturday night it was so crowded, I could barely dance. However, on Sunday nights, it’s a lot better. A more mature crowd and its salsa night. If you’re a salsero or simply love salsa music than come to Euro Lounge.
Vivo lounge in Newark’s ironbound is a good place and Thursday is Latin night. The décor looks good and will impress a date. It’s small but quaint. Last time I was there it was a good time. Especially, since I live close. I tried
I tried to make it on more Thursdays but I take my salsa lessons on that night.
I have a special mention, its dinner but not dancing. Although there are people who can’t help it and get their little groove on when there. Cuban Petes in Montclair. It’s a very lively crowd and the place to socialize in Montclair.
It has the old look of Cuba with music playing throughout the night. If you’re in the area, check it out. You will definitely have a fun night.
